Under the guidance of the owners, an Italian diplomat and his Vietnamese wife, the restoration was carried out by architect Raffaele Centonze, incorporating industrial elements to the massive vaulted space such as metal and glass finishes and quartz concrete floors. There are 6 spacious ensuite bedrooms, each elegant and minimalist, and like the rest of the home, feature a stylish blend of local, ethnic, vintage and contemporary pieces that were collected by the globetrotting owners. Walled gardens surround the large property, enclosing its expansive lawn, large pool and pergola, and shaded outdoor dining and lounge area to create a private oasis to relax and unwind. The sheer size of the home allows large groups of families and friends to seamlessly integrate and enjoy a fabulous vacation together in the ultimate design hideaway close to incredible beaches, charming seafront towns and sleepy historic villages.
ROOMS
There are 6 spectacular ensuite bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 12, each room unique and luxurious with features such as four-poster beds, in-room tubs, walk-in showers, french windows and mezzanines. There are 3 large rooms off the main living area, including the gorgeous master suite with reclaimed wood floors, a double four-poster bed, an in-room tub and walk-in shower. The remaining bedrooms are further down the hallways, one having direct access to the pool area and garden.
The home is furnished with design objects and collection pieces, mixed according to the Japanese concept of wabi sabi, celebrating the interaction of beauty, simplicity and imperfection.
The front entrance opens to the oversized living area, which is divided into comfortable lounge areas separated by large columns, accentuating the vast geometric space. Past the living area, the hallway continues to the kitchen and the enclosed pool and grounds beyond. One of the corridors is home to a stunning reclaimed wood dining table that comfortably seats 12.
