Ideally located on the edge of the souks in the heart of Marrakech medina, this intimate riad is tucked away in a quiet corner just 5 minutes from the infamous Djemaa el Fna. Once the home of a Neopolitan banker, there are five spacious suites arranged around a central patio with an azul plunge pool surrounded by lush bamboo and banana trees. Riad Jaaneman’s Italian-born owner Leonardo Giangreco brings a distinctive European flavour to this traditional Moroccan house, resulting in pared-back elegance complimented by a bold Italian twist.

ROOMS

Each of the 5 suites are uniquely decorated in an international style that mixes Moroccan, European and African artifacts. The pick of the bunch is Leale, a serene suite that wraps around its own pretty private patio which is shaded by fan palms and features an impressive wall fountain. The other four beautiful rooms are on the first floor and are similarly light and bright, all having en-suite marble bathrooms with the finest Italian fittings.

Jaaneman is available for exclusive hire and can sleep up to 10 guests at one time, which makes it ideal choice for a holiday with friends or family.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served on the terrace as well as in the courtyard and there is a sunbathing area where guests can relax in the sunshine before sipping a refreshing drink in the soft shade of the tent with views extending to the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.
