Vila Ombak is one of the longest standing properties on Gili Trawangan. Designed in the traditional Sasak architecture of Lombok, yet having all the modern conveniences, it is the perfect mix of traditional and modern.

Set towards the back of the property, the private pool villas are removed from the hustle and bustle of the main road that circles the small island, creating a quiet sanctuary to relax. Each villa has its own private plunge pool and outdoor lounge area, as well as a kitchen, dining area and couch.

NOTEWORTHY

Although the breakfast buffet is quite impressive, I would recommend having breakfast in the villa - it's the perfect way to start your day!

I also recommend happy hour at the beach bar - a gorgeous location and fabulous cocktails!

There is also a new sister hotel, Ombak Sunset, located on the quieter west-side of the island, that is ideal for couples wanting to escape and relax.

NEED TO KNOW

There are no motor vehicles on the island, so be prepared to walk, or even better, rent a bike! There are also cidomos (horse and cart) if need be, to taxi you around with your luggage.

IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD...

There are many restaurants, shops, cafes, and dive schools just a short stroll away. I would recommend renting a bike to ride around the island (takes about 45 minutes) where you can discover some quiet beaches and great beach-side restaurants.
